Camtrade Introduces Leather Products to Expand Footwear Business

Camtrade Footwear is proud to announce the addition of leather footwear to its Secret Celebrity and Soft Comfort brands. These collections will be introduced for Spring 2019; more extensive offerings will be available in Fall 2019.

"We are excited to announce we will be expanding our business to include leather footwear,” states Frank Cammarata, President & CEO of Camtrade Footwear. “This decision is based on persuasive feedback from our key retail partners as well as our direct consumers. After four years of successfully building our brands utilizing high-quality man-made materials, we feel now is the time to produce an exciting quality leather footwear collection."

High Quality Leather Shoes: Fashion, Comfort and Value

The shoes will include a variety of soft, supple and versatile material treatments: smooth leather, pebble grain leather as well as textured and tumbled finishes. In terms of color, earthy neutrals and bright colors will be a mainstay. Comfort features and fit will continue to be the hallmark of Secret Celebrity® and Soft Comfort.® Suggested retail prices will run between $50 and $80 for sandals, shoes and boots, making these offerings accessible to a wide variety of consumers.

  • Soft Comfort® Garden Path: Smooth leather ankle strap sandal on a flexible wood-look platform wedge.
  • Secret Celebrity® Erica: Perforated suede peep-toe espadrille with a jute-wrapped wedge outsole.
  • Secret Celebrity® Erica: Perforated suede peep-toe espadrille with a jute-wrapped wedge outsole.
  • Soft Comfort® Memphis: Smooth leather asymmetrical banded slide with hooded-toe wedge.

Prior to embarking on leather products, Camtrade conducted a targeted market research initiative to evaluate true consumer demand for fashion, value-oriented women’s leather shoes.

“The results were extremely positive,” said Cammarata.  “To  date, the response to our Spring/Summer 2019 leather offerings have been very encouraging.”  He also noted that the man-made footwear business continues to flourish.
